How to use a PCB circuit board cleaner

PCB, also known as printed circuit board, is a provider of electrical connections for electronic components. It can greatly reduce wiring and assembly errors, improve the automation level and production labor productivity. It is precisely because of these points that the price of pcb is quite high. In order to reduce the cost of the enterprise, we need to protect it. FS Technology believes that reasonable cleaning of PCBs can improve its life. Next, we will introduce the use of printed circuit board cleaners.

Correct use of PCB cleaners

1. FS Tech recommends that you use a clean soft paint brush (1-inch wide brush is better) before cleaning the PCB, and dry it with compressed air with a pressure of about 0.1Mpa [ie 1kg/cm2] to remove the dust on the circuit board .

2. You can use the special cleaning solution for cleaning circuit boards (commonly known as plate washing water) for cleaning. The solution can be purchased in specialized stores. If there is no board washing water, you can do this: first rinse it with tap water, pay attention to the water flow to be gentle, not too violent, carefully and gently brush while rinsing with a soft brush, both sides of the pcb need to be rinsed.

3. Then use a soft bristle brush dipped in neutral soap to carefully and gently clean each part of the circuit board. Especially the jumper socket, the inside and bottom of the slot, the bottom of the IC socket, the bottom of the north and south bridge chips, the bottom of all IC chips such as BIOS chips, and the bottom of large capacitors. More specific cleaning methods can be found on the FS Tech website. If the soap lather is dirty, it must be washed with water and then scrubbed with soap until the lather turns white.

4. Then rinse the board slowly and thoroughly with clean water. Note: The soapy water must be rinsed thoroughly, otherwise it will cause secondary damage to the pcb.

5. After cleaning, use dry compressed air with a pressure of about 0.1Mpa [ie 1kg/cm2] to blow off the water droplets, especially the jumper plugs and sockets. The inside and bottom, bottom of IC socket, north-south bridge chip, bottom of BIOS chip and other IC chips, bottom of large capacitor, etc., should be blown from different directions, and efforts should be made to dry all the water droplets in the gap.

6. Clean the board again with double distilled water or absolute alcohol. Carbon tetrachloride is more potent, but it is toxic and must be used with care unless absolutely necessary. Carbon tetrachloride is generally not recommended.

At this point, FS Tech's way of cleaning pcb is over. This cleaning method is not only clean and thorough, but also saves money, environmental protection and health.
